SUMMARY
The Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Recertification course was developed by the NSW Food Authority for current FSS holders whose certificates will be expiring. The certificates expire five years from the date of issue.
This means that your FSS may need to undertake refresher training with a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) approved under the FSS program.
Austrain Academy is approved by the NSW Food Authority to provide this training. (Approval #24237)
You have 30 working days to ensure your appointed Food Safety Supervisor renews their training and obtains a new NSW Food Safety Supervisor certificate. Check the refresher renewal date on the certificate to determine when refresher training is due.
Recertification training may only be offered up to 90 days after the expiry date for a previous NSW Food Safety Supervisor (FSS) Certificate. After this time, the full course must be re-completed to attain certification.
